#1 Keep it current

Make sure your CV is up to date with your latest qualifications and achievements.

#2 Spellcheck

Always proofread your CV before sending it to an employer. Spelling and grammar is so important!

#3 Be honest

From your previous grades to work experience you have done – always be honest! Employers may ask you specific questions about what you have written on your CV so always be truthful.

#4 Keep it concise

A CV should be no longer than 2 pages. A brief description about you followed by a list of your qualifications,  a summary  of your work  history and a little bit about your interests and hobbies is a good place to start!

#5 Make it your own

Use your own words as employers can find out if you have copy and pasted information from the internet. Your CV is about you and therefore is unique! Make sure you are using words that you know the meaning of and give evidence when explaining your skills and abilities.
